Why attend All Things AI 2027
Two days in downtown Raleigh to learn how to put AI to work in your own job, from people who already have. What you get, who comes, and how to make the case to your manager.
April 19–20, 2027 Atlantic Union Bank Convention Center, Raleigh
Six reasons
What you get for two days
Each one is something we can show you, not something we are promising.
You do the work yourself
Monday is a workshop day. You bring your laptop and a real task from your job, and you practice with AI tools while an instructor helps. Nobody reads slides at you for an hour.
Workshops and tracksSpeakers tell you what broke
We ask every speaker for the real story, including the parts that did not work. Vendor talks are there to teach, not to pitch. You can hold us to it: the 2026 recordings are public.
What we ask of speakersThe people are the point
People from 1,897 different employers registered across our first two conferences: executives, engineers, public servants, teachers, founders and students. There is time between sessions to compare notes with them.
Who comesPick the track that fits your job
Ten tracks, from AI Users for people putting AI to work on everyday tasks to AI Engineers for people running it in production, with tracks for executives, small business owners, security leaders and managers in between.
See the 2027 tracksIt does not end on Tuesday
The conference is one part of a year-round community: 5,025 people in our Meetup group, in-person meetups around the Triangle, free webinars, Build an Agent Day, and recordings you can share with your team.
Meetups and eventsIt is in the Triangle on purpose
Research Triangle Park, three research universities within about twenty miles, and the employers who already run AI here. If you work in the Southeast, this is the one you can drive to.
Why the Triangle
Who it is for
Find your people on the program
The CFO, the state agency lead, the platform engineer and the owner with no IT department are in the same building on purpose. Every 2027 track is named for the people it serves.

What to tell your manager

I would like to attend All Things AI 2027 on April 19–20, 2027 in Raleigh. Monday is a hands-on workshop day where I will practice with AI tools on [a task from my own work]. Tuesday is the conference day, with a track for [my role]. I will come back with [a working example, a shortlist of tools, a plan for our team], and the sessions are recorded, so I can share the ones that apply to us. It is a drive, not a flight, so the cost is the ticket and, if we need it, a hotel night.
- Close to home. Downtown Raleigh, with the Triangle's employers, agencies and universities close by.
- Two focused days. One to practice, one to learn and meet people. Nothing padded out to a week.
- Something to bring back. Workshops end with work you did, not notes about work someone else did.
- Free seats exist. 500 scholarship seats are committed for 2027. How to apply

Before you decide
Questions people ask us
Do I need a technical background to attend All Things AI?
No. The program is built for people in business, government and education as well as engineers. The AI Users track covers putting AI to work on research, writing, analysis and routine tasks, and the Monday workshops are for anyone who learns by doing, from first-time AI users to engineers. Build an Agent Day, our hands-on program, requires no programming experience.
What should I bring to the workshops?
Your own laptop and a real task from your job. Workshops are work-along sessions: you practice with AI tools on your own work while an instructor helps, instead of watching slides about them.
Can I see what the sessions are like before I decide?
Yes. Slides and recordings from the 2026 conference are published at allthingsai.org/sessions, including the keynote where whurley handed part of his talk to an AI agent he had built.
Is there a way to attend for free?
Yes. In 2026, 807 people attended the conference without paying for a ticket through Ada Lovelace Scholarships, access programs, partner codes and volunteering, and 500 free seats are committed for 2027. Details and the application are at allthingsai.org/ai-scholarships.
When and where is All Things AI 2027?
April 19–20, 2027, at the Atlantic Union Bank Convention Center, 500 S Salisbury Street, Raleigh, North Carolina. Monday is the workshop day and Tuesday is the conference day, with an application-based Agent Hackathon on Sunday, April 18. A separate Executive AI Summit with screened participation takes place April 21, 2027.
Where do I register?
Registration, tickets and the program live on the event page at events.allthingsai.org/events/all-things-ai-2027. For announcements as the program is finalized, subscribe to the newsletter at news.allthingsai.org.
